AI portrait activations · South Africa

Every guest leaves with a portrait. You leave with the proof.

Signal Frame is a portrait station for conferences, launches, expos and year-end functions. Your guests get a styled portrait on their phone in under a minute. You get consented contact data, campaign-ready images, and a report you can put in front of your client.

From R12,500 excl. VAT · Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Limpopo and nationwide on request

The transformation

The same person, styled — not replaced.

Left is what the camera sees. Right is what the guest receives, about ninety seconds later. Every style is tested on more than thirty faces before your event — across skin tones, hair textures, glasses and head coverings.

Split image: on the left a woman in a black blazer photographed at a Signal Frame station; on the right the same woman rendered as a portrait in a navy and copper structured coat with a copper collar, against the Johannesburg skyline at night.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them are yours.

Your team briefs us once. On the day, nobody from your side has to stand at the station explaining anything.

  1. Capture

A host greets each guest, explains what will happen to their photograph, and takes consent before the shutter. One frame, controlled light, about twenty seconds.

  2. Transform

The frame is styled to your campaign. The host reviews it on screen before the guest sees it — nothing reaches anyone unchecked, and a guest can ask for a retake.

  3. Deliver

The portrait arrives by WhatsApp or email on a branded page. If you have taken the print option, it comes off the printer at the station while they wait.

What you keep

The portrait is for your guests. The rest is for you.

Most activations end when the last guest leaves and you are handed a folder of photographs. This is the part that is actually worth budget.

  1. 01

    Consented contact data

Every guest opts in separately to receiving their portrait, to marketing contact, and to your use of their image. Exported in the shape your CRM expects, with the consent record attached to each row.

  2. 02

    Campaign-ready images

Full-resolution portraits, cleared for the uses your guests agreed to, in a branded gallery your team can hand to an agency the same week.

  3. 03

    An activation report

Guests engaged, throughput by hour, delivery rate, opt-in rate and station uptime — against the numbers we committed to in the proposal. Within 48 hours of load-out.

Built for South African venues

Your activation runs, whatever the grid does.

Load-shedding, a venue circuit that trips at 19:00, a conference Wi-Fi network shared with four hundred delegates — these are the ordinary conditions here, not the exceptions. The station is specified for them.

An open flight case holding a portable power station and a router, packed for transport to a venue.

Own power

The station carries a battery sized for a full shift including the printer, and does not draw on the venue's supply. A stage change or a scheduled outage does not reach us.

Two networks

A primary connection and a second on a different carrier, failing over on their own. We never plan an activation on venue Wi-Fi, whatever the venue says about it.

Offline capture

If both networks drop, the station keeps photographing and queues the work. Guests are told delivery will be a few minutes, and every queued portrait sends when the line returns.
